Certification Grants
The Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) provides a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN®) Certification Grant and Recertification Grant to AMSN members through the Scholarships & Grants program. Each grant is awarded semi-annually and covers the full cost of application at member rate.

Certification Grant
Have your CMSRN certification exam fee covered by AMSN! The Certification Grant is awarded to eight members of AMSN annually, four in the spring and four in the fall. The grant awards the equivalent to the application fee for members.
Recertification Grant
Have your CMSRN recertification fee covered by AMSN! The Recertification Grant is awarded to four members of AMSN annually, two in the spring and two in the fall. The grant awards the equivalent to the application fee for members.
Deadlines
Summer: Application must be completed by June 1 annually, and applicants are notified by July 1 annually.
Winter: Application must be completed by December 15 annually, and applicants are notified by January 15 annually.
We encourage you to apply for AMSN's grant or any other grants for which you might be eligible to help you attain or maintain your certification.
